my top 10 dream destinations

My Top Ten Dream Destinations

I was hoping I can do this per country but that would be cheating! So, here are my top 10 dream destinations according to cities!

1. Athens, Greece

As a philosophy student, I lived and breathed ancient Greek teachings like my life depended on it. I have to say I developed values that I’m able to apply to my daily life, such as—how to conquer outlying countries, how to eat grapes without lifting a finger, and how to wear the Grecian gowns with flair.

2. Florence, Italy

Yes, it is one of the most beautiful places to visit. But really, the appeal for me is the thought of actually living there. Imagine waking up every day to the softest light, so soft that painters have been trying to capture its luminosity.

3. Toyko, Japan

Anime, J-pop, techno gizmos, and gigantic robots that move (I’m pretty sure that one of these days, the Japanese government will command these robots to expand their empire like their attempt during the 2nd world war.)

4. Rome, Italy

Art, ancient churches, and the Vatican—the city that oozes history should be explored slowly and lovingly.

5. Machu Picchu, Peru

The Incas wanted me to discover their majestic city, but some Germans got to it first!

6. Prague, Czech Republic

Well, old cities are so charming and romantic!

7. Barcelona, Spain

Gaudi’s weirdness so appeals to my quirky sense of aesthetics.

8. The Shire, New Zealand

I know! I know! It is not the shire. But, you dig my drift! I want the Hobbiton and the whole Lord of the Rings experience.

9. Paris, France

The Louvre is a must-see and I really want to follow the Rose Line. I also want to hang out at cafés where Simone de Beauvoir and Jean Paul Sartre had dates.

10. Roslyn, Washington

Simply because this is the location of Cicely, Alaska—the fictional town which was the setting for my favorite television show, ever, Northern Exposure.
